ABI Test Trainer – Overview
An Ankle-Brachial Index (ABI) test trainer is a tool used to teach healthcare professionals how to perform and interpret ABI tests, which compare blood pressure in the arms and ankles to detect peripheral artery disease (PAD).
Training Includes
- Theory: Basics of PAD, ABI interpretation, and test limitations
- Hands-on Practice: Measuring pressures using Doppler, proper cuff placement, and pulse detection
- Simulation: Participants practice on each other for realistic experience
