Description
Injection Administration Course provides participants with an
opportunity to gain both theoretical knowledge and practical simulation
experience in a classroom environment. The course is intended to
provide a comprehensive understanding of injection techniques and
routes like IV,IM,S/C and S/D
Course Objectives
- Introduction to the superficial anatomy of the extremities.
- Basic IV insertion ,IM injection, Subcutaneous and Subdermal
Injection. - Maintenance principles.
- Troubleshooting techniques.
Course Overview
- Discussion of the Intravenous system, IV therapy, Venipuncture
procedure and equipment. - Safe procedure for Injection.
- Identifying the location and muscles for Injection.
- Performing venipuncture on a training arm, securing, and dressing
the site. - Hands-on Practical training on simulated models.
- Dos and Don’ts in procedure.
- Identifying approaches to take to prevent, detect, and minimize
complications. - Document appropriate information in the patient’s record.
- Performing infection control and asepsis during Injection procedure

- A Course certificate is issued by the MTC
